Here's a couple of updates on graphic artist Andie Airfix (we don't really need to remind you how important he has been to Def Leppard's visual style, do we...). First, you can hear an extensive interview with Andie, giving all kinds of inside information on the "PYROMANIA" sleeve at Inside Heavy's BEHIND THE COVER.
Then, if you're in the London Chelsea neighborhood and you are interested in purchasing some original sketches, designs or proofs by Andie (including Def Leppard work, of course), head over to the pARTy at 79-89 Lots Road today or tomorrow. Andie: "I'm moving studios so I need to clear out some things. There's loads of stuff I'm sure Def Leppard fans would love to get their hands on! Some real bargains."
UPDATE: due to overwhelming demand, the exhibition has been extended with another three days and will now run until Tuesday, March 25.
Finally, something to look forward to -- around December, Cleveland's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame will host an exhibition that will showcase some of Andie's original work he did for Def Leppard, as well as some of the artwork he did for METALLICA, GUNS N' ROSES, MOTLEY CRUE and AC/DC.
